Despite the appearance from our photos (we had an unprecedented 10 days of sunny weather!), Iceland gets precipitation throughout the seasons. All this water, both from melting glaciers and rainy weather, creates a lush landscape with numerous waterfalls. The basalt pillars around "Black Falls" are reminiscent of Devil's Postpile in California.
